Posted by Wendy Ewurum  |  at  2:15 PM

I have two posts published today, the other is: How to write a Great Review by Francine Howarth. Check it out too and add your bit.

From February 2nd to 14th I will be hosting a Giveaway of 4 books in total from the Patti Roberts collection. Come around tomorrow and take a peak and perhaps enter. You could be one of three lucky winners.

Author:    Patti Roberts (web-link)
Series:     Y (Paradox Series)
Genre:      Paranormal Fiction
Publisher: CreateSpace (June 14, 2011)

Two Worlds. One Ancient... still reeling from the ravages of a War. A World where powerful Beings from Ancient Civilizations rule. A Realm Where Gods, Angels, Myths and Magic still exists. And One New... Grace is not a little girl anymore! And as a teenager, Grace’s visions become more frequent, urgent, torturing her life further still. The answers she hopes to find in her visions only leave her asking more questions... Who is Juliette? When the charismatic Damon Draco begins to take an interest in Grace, it doesn’t take long before Grace falls for his alluring charm. A charm she doesn't quite understand. However, when Riley Rivers turns up in Grace's class one day, she starts to question the feelings she has for Damon. Then death comes knocking...and when three of Grace’s school friends are found burned to death, and their parents die in a fatal car accident that same weekend, some start to wonder if it really was just a coincidence, or a contrived plan to wipe out an entire family? And if so, why, and by whom? And more importantly, will evil strike again? You can bet your soul on it!

  • Grace, a little girl who also seems to have the spirit/soul of an unearthly being called Juliete living within her.
  • Damon Draco, we are introduced to Julliete's love interest who is actually as bad fallen angel. Hunts down Julliet's kind and feeds on human blood and souls. Not a good boy at face value.
  • Wade, an officer who comes to deliver bad news and then seems to become a permanent fixture.

  • Patti still managed  to keep things interesting for her readers. There are a lot more characters introduced in this one and I liked that each one was more developed which I felt was missing from Book 1. The focus here was definitely on creating more believable players all round.
  • Where Book 1 won me over with the ancient world, this one did so with more solid story lines in the current time.
  • I really loved Damon and "Grace's" relationship although I'm torn with Riley interest too. Another mysterious but I suspect good guy. I'm almost sure though that my loyalty lies more with Damon perhaps because of his conflicted position, sleeping with enemy.
  • I'm really looking forward to getting a clear picture of everyone's powers, such as Ambrosia who's situation was so heartbreaking. It feels like everything will be coming to a head soon and I'm interested in seeing it all through in book #3.
  • Overall I think this is a much better version than book one, especially considering that there are minimal editorial inefficiencies in this one. The reading experience was lovely.

About the Author

Most know me as the author to Fabulosity Reads and in actual fact, that is the previous name of this blog. I have since then moved my books to a Wordpress self-hosted blog so that I can have a place to show a different side of me which I am equally passionate about and that is marketing and personal development. I hope you will love being here, watching me grow as I share and learn. My highest hope is that we will grown and learn together in all disciplines affecting our lives. I'd LUUURRRVE to hear from you, so don't be shy...
