READ BLURB AND BUY FROM AMAZON

I have thorougly enjoyed this book. No two ways about it.

This is the first one I've read by Lauren Kate and I bought it as a paperback from my favorite second hand book seller but I can tell you now, I have called Skoobs (Monte Casino-South Africa) about a copy plus the next book (Torment) because I'd like my girls to have this option on the shelves one day and I certainly want to make my way through the rest if they are anything like this one.

Fallen is thoroughly romantic, electrifying, mesmerizing and completely frustrating …in a good way.
This  author knows how to exploit the suspense factor and still make it impossible to put the book down.

I’ll be honest, it took me about 50 pages to get into it but the rest of the 400 more than made up for it slow build up. From the very beginning you are trying to work out what actually happened to get these “shadows” latched on to Luce and its only in the last quarter of the book that things unravel.
But worry not, until then there is more than enough in the rest of the story to keep you turning the pages at great speed.
I truly loved all her multi dimensional characters and that the story gets told from more than one pov.
It just gives such credibility to the writer and her characters. Especially that even the support characters had stories that tug at the heart strings. Even the evil that is deceptively good makes you feel bad for him.

One other plus for me was that I didnt feel like a peeping tom reading about young love. Sometimes these YA books can be more over sexed than the adult ones and it gets uncomfortable in places. None of that here.  Seventeens year old's are more preoccupied with first kisses than anything else as they should.

I’m happy to have Lauren Kate added to my collection. I adored the male and female MC’s too.
I can’t stop gushing but I think you get the idea.

One of my favorite novel lines:.
Arraine about Daniel:
“He’s so focused on that hamburger, he wouldn’t hear the call of satan”

About the Author

Most know me as the author to Fabulosity Reads and in actual fact, that is the previous name of this blog. I have since then moved my books to a Wordpress self-hosted blog so that I can have a place to show a different side of me which I am equally passionate about and that is marketing and personal development. I hope you will love being here, watching me grow as I share and learn. My highest hope is that we will grown and learn together in all disciplines affecting our lives. I'd LUUURRRVE to hear from you, so don't be shy...
